Yamaha MT--09 Tracer Review Bikes Reviews

Well, you can view all about my experience on the Yamaha MT-09 Tracer on my video upload to the WhichBike.com channel WhichBike.com YouTube channel

One thing that was later pointed out to me when I spoke with Yamaha at the MCN show is that you can adjust the seat height by about an inch and a half, and you can also get a different seat assembly which is also similarly lower so shorter riders will be fine.

In a nuitshell, the bike is very special. It brings together fun and practicality, and in its A mode, some blistering speed.
I found the seat to be reall comfy and the pillion seat looks to be perfect for taking others out on it.

The riding position itself is spot on with high, wide handlebars promoting a nice, high sitting up position which is terrific for long journeys.
It sounds a lot better than the MT-07 but you may wish to bung on an Akra or similar.

The only things you may need to get with this bike is a pannier set for touring and heated grips as they will be the best Mod ever if you intend to ride in the cold!:)

For just over £8000 / $13000 it represents decent value as it is a bike capable of just about anything.
As it is light and the weight is low down you can really turn it easily into bends so it just shouts fun, fun, fun.

4 1/2 out of 5 for me.

It looks a bit fragile close up in my opinion. Not bad though, I like the modes idea.;)

Anybody else been on an MT-09?
I like the power. Tracer looks like the one to get.

Yea, its just a more powerful mt-07.
the kick at the higher revs is ballistic missile.
its a phenomenal bike for the money, really. there are some trumphs worth loking at though.
tracer will be the one to buy thugh. but it is lower powered than standard mt-09 but you gain more smoothness and suitability for longer journeys and stuff.

This is growing on me too. I must try one. I rewatched Ade's XRX vid and he didn't have anything bad to say about that bike. That's more pricey but has a few bits and pieces this doesn't but all the same.
