No way round that, all part of what boots do.

Dont buy online UNLESS you have already tried the exact boot in a store.

As always, you get what you pay for, so more money gets you stronger full height zips, softer strong leather, harder wearing heels, etc.

I took a risk and bought some used boots - at least the leather is soft :)
Were about a 1/5th the price of new so managed to get some decent sidis and they area tad tight but okay - i bought my shoe size so dont get smaller but you might be okay just a bit bigger but as above, trying a boot on first makes most sense.

Best place to buy clothing is a motorbike show. Cheaper and you can try on.

Boots need to be comfy firstly. Its up to you what thickness socks you want to wear but you don't need thick ones.

Get boots that go up to the shins. As long as they have a good zip and shin protection as a minimum. Ankle protection is good too but extra buckles etc are just annoying.

Prices vary like any product and more expensive doesn't always mean better. Just get the best for your budget.

I have Alpinestars and they're very comfy for riding but NOT long walks.

Keep checking the usual online stores for new deals then try them on locally to check the fit as mentioned above.
Dont buf off spec withouth knowing the fit as boots do come up different per brand.

THe big names are usually safe, Daytone, Side, A*.
