hate to state the bleedin obvious mate but how about the new GSX-R 750 !! One step up from yours, possibly easier to ride and not as raw though.

    The list is endless.
It depends on the style of bike you are after i.e sports, naked, tour, muscle bike, adventure bike??
You ride a 600 Gsxr so if you were gonna stick with that theme of bike then have a look at the 750 or even the 1000 version.
The 750 will be a nice step up from your 600 and a fantastic road bike. The 1000 would be all the bike you ever needed and more for the road, track, touring. Great fuel economy also.
The 1000 comes with three power modes(A,B and C) so you can select B and give your brain, reactions time to adjust before selecting hyperdrive (A)
K7 and K8 1000's are great bikes and can be had for 5-6K.
These have the three power modes and an electric steering damper.
They are a tad heavier than the 750's but once you ditch the under slung cat, replace the twin exhausts with a single exhaust you get rid of approx 5 kilo's..
Hope you find what your looking for!
    Ride safe ;)

I went from a GSX-R 600 K4 to the KTM RC8 :o Certainly more intense riding and surprisingly comfortable.

The gixers are superb bikes and you would certainly enjoy the 750 or 1000.
You have to think carefully about what style bike you want to look at next and then compare whats available in that range.

Looking forward to hearing what you decide...

Get out of Suzuki first... they are a bit behind these days.
Try a Kwak or particularly Triumph who do some great sub-liter bikes with character.

I'm biased, but the Triumph Street Triple is well known to be brilliant and its good value as well.
